Choose Wisely

We had our first official Daisy Girl Scout meeting this week and we were discussing the Girl Scout Law.  After going through the whole thing, I talked to the girls about what some of the different parts meant.  We talked about what it means to be a sister to every Girl Scout and what it means to respect authority.  Then I asked if they knew what it meant to “use resources wisely”.

Mine piped up, “I know what it means! At least, I know what ‘wisely’ means…”

Ok, go ahead.

“It’s like when you have TWO friends that are both your best friends, but then you can only have ONE best friend, so that’s when you need to choose wisely.”

Wise words from a 5-year-old.

About perfectday

There is always something bumping around in my head, and if I leave it up there, I will go crazy. So I try to get my thoughts out onto paper (or the current equivalent). Mostly this blog is just for me to keep my sanity, but I also hope there's a nugget or two in there that other people find worth reading.
