When You’re Right…

Some things you can’t teach – it’s just part of who we are…

Me: K, you’re buckled first? It’s a miracle!

W: Yeah, it’s a miracle because you were first in the car.

K: No I wasn’t. You were first.

W: No, you were first.

K: No I wasn’t.

W: Yes you were.

K: Well… We don’t need to fight about it.

Me: Yes, please don’t fight about it.

K: Yeah. I mean, it’s just about who was in the car first.

Me: Right. Which was you, K.

K: I know.

Me: Oh? Is that why you decided to end the fight? Because you realized W was right?

K: Yes.

Me: You could just say, “W, you’re right.”

K: Nooooo!

She’s been “winning” arguments with this tactic ever since she learned how to argue. Which was as soon as she learned to talk. I’d like to take credit, but it’s all her!

About perfectday

There is always something bumping around in my head, and if I leave it up there, I will go crazy. So I try to get my thoughts out onto paper (or the current equivalent). Mostly this blog is just for me to keep my sanity, but I also hope there's a nugget or two in there that other people find worth reading.
