A Color Poem

This comes from my third grade, almost nine-year-old son. I happen to think it’s super awesome.

Black is a wolf in the dark of the night.

Black is a bat in a cave flying around.

Black is a crow eating dead stuff on the side of the road.

Black tastes like burnt toast.

Black smells like dark smoke in the air.

Black feels like a cold fall night.

Black looks like ink in a squid’s body.

Black makes me happy when I see it.

Black sounds like silence everywhere.

About perfectday

There is always something bumping around in my head, and if I leave it up there, I will go crazy. So I try to get my thoughts out onto paper (or the current equivalent). Mostly this blog is just for me to keep my sanity, but I also hope there's a nugget or two in there that other people find worth reading.
